It’s one of my friend’s birthday today so we had this surprise celebration of sorts for him over at Bukit Tinggi, Klang. We chat, took pictures, ate, played some cards, wagered through the cards, the usual stuff one would expect I guess. That was late in the day a moment ago; the rest of the earlier part of the day was just generic.
Today also was supposed to be another friend of mine’s birthday but I was already booked for this other one first when she reminded me so… difficult stuff.
It’s Saturday, so it starts with Japanese class at 11am. And for the rest of the day, I spent playing this (it’s not me playing in that video btw, also note that this song is my current top most favourite Alstroemeria Records song!):
Audiosurf~ a racing game where you’re racing with yourself lol. Actually… no, it’s a game that scans a song of your choice and then generates a track that assimilates the song. Then the player would control a ship thing, fly around the track in a predetermined speed (determined by the tempo of the song, if it’s slow you’ll be crawling, if it’s fast you’ll be running into everything) and do stuffs. ‘Stuffs’ varies between modes, but I mostly went with the mode shown in that video. In that one, the player has to avoid the gray blocks and collect the colored blocks. Switching between the lanes is the only control the player has in this game as the acceleration and deceleration are determined by the song itself… except for some special abilities like jump or something that some certain ships have. Aside from unlocking new modes at the beginning (which would be fully unlocked very quickly), the only objective of the game is to gain as much points as possible for the song of choice. To get points, the player needs to accumulate those colored blocks into the 7×3 grid that appears under the ship. The grids are distributed into columns of 7 slot for each lane and the acquired colored blocks will end up in the column of the corresponding lane where the block was. Have 3 of the same colored blocks next to each other in the grid in any directions (be it vertical, horizontal, L, anything) to get rid of them and exchange them for points, if the player can dump in more colored blocks in to the sets of 3 in time, the points will get multiplied every further. Running into a gray block will cause the gray block to take up one slot in the grid for a set amount of time. If the slot gets filled up over the limit with too many gray blocks, well, something bad will happen in additional to the player’s total points being deducted… the grid part of it is kind of like tetris in a way, just that there is no game over.
One thing for sure, it’s VERY addictive. A pointless game if there aren’t any competition, yes, but it’s still addictive by itself none the less… and it can easily take up HOURS of one’s time… especially if most of the songs in your collection is 5 to 6 minutes in length. Last thing I remember was that I just came back from class at 1 and before I knew it, I’m already having my dinner… oh well.
The title may sound like I finally ran into something interesting for once but no. I just went to Sunway Pyramid with my mother today… yeah, that’s all lol.
Woke up at around 12pm today. Went to Pyramid with my mother almost immediately after that. Even had my break fast in Pyramid (at Manhattan Fish Market; had some sort of fish thingy with lots of other kind of sea creatures cooked in all variety of methods).
Got back at 4pm, planned to do the remaining of the room cleaning but gave up on that. I guess I’ll do that after this semester (postpone again lol). Spent most of the remaining time doing nothing, playing GTA, playing hisouten, and nothing.
Another day passed~ 3 days remaining before I return to hell >__>

For tomorrow, I might actually post up a half-assed review about something… but I’ll leave the final decision to the me of tomorrow.
