Dissidia on Christmas

December 25, 2008

Well, been spending all (yes, all, if I have any) my free time on Dissidia for the past 3 days. Also, since I’m sick on Christmas and I don’t have any plans to go anywhere anyway, I spent the whole day today playing Dissidia. I guess I got a hold of how things work in there as I could now win more than I lose lol.

By the time I write this, I have finished off all the character’s story mode except for Bartz’s (FFV) whose I’m currently working on. Maybe I’ll finish his before bed.

Many characters are pretty difficult to use at the beginning as they lack many of the crucial action abilities, dashing for example. As they get up to level 10 and above, things starts to get a little more comfortable.

I’ve unlocked all the available unlockable characters but I think there are two more hidden somewhere. There are also the possibility of playing the enemy’s side of the faction for story mode so I’m not sure how much more playability is left after finishing Bartz’s story mode. Of course, there are still a lot of other things to unlock like alternative costumes, equipments and summons.

Well, all will be clear tonight …maybe.

Quintuple split

December 22, 2008

I am never one to be able to successfully do many attention intensive activities at any given same time. And that goes for everything else that I personally deem necessary for me to pour a great deal of attention into to perform/deal with. Animes and games are some of them; I take into account every tiny detail of the plots and events an anime and also all the secrets and plot hints present in any games.

However, right now I have my gaming attentions all over the place, branching to all the different console medium the games are played on. There’s Dissidia on the PSP, Koitate on the PS2, GTA4 on the PS3, Rhapsody on the PS, and Zwei 2 on the PC (yes, I am still reluctant on stepping into the last dungeon). And that list only include the main ones on each system.

Constantly switching between one another, I keep forgeting where the plot left out in another when I play them again. lol

hmm… ok, writer’s block. oh btw, here’s the opening FMV to Dissidia Final Fantasy. And here is a mirror in case the first link doesn’t work.

I’m off to bed…

Dissidia and Fate/Unlimited Codes

December 19, 2008
yum yum

yum yum~

Both Dissidia Final Fantasy and Fate/Unlimited Codes were released yesterday. Didn’t get to test them yesterday because my internet connection was too busy being retarded *cough*.

Anyway, I now got my hands on Dissidia and had a little fun with it. Here’s what I thought of it. The AIs are insanely hard, or at least they are in the quick battle mode (since that was what gave me my first impression).

Anticipation

July 3, 2008

Here is another list of games I’m currently looking forward to.

Dissidia Final Fantasy

It’s an FF all-star galore. I have no idea what it will be about but it looks kind of like a fighting game? There is this lifebar thing on the bottom of the screen… or is it a limit break bar? Either way, the look of the interface suggests 1v1 gameplay.

It’ll be for the PSP and there is no release date for it yet. There are also rumours that it will not be translated into English but I doubt it.

Soul Saber 2

It’s… Soul Saber’s sequel? Actually, the title itself is temporary according to Yamadaya so it may or may not really be a Soul Saber 2. That character there do seem to be Madoka though, that unlockable character in Soul Saber after patching to v1.12. And the gameplay looks similar to Combat Kinryu vs Xentex DX9 instead of being a fighter like the original Soul Saber.

A multiplayer trial is planned to be out during Comiket 74 this August.

And Persona 4 is 6 days away!!! Not like I would see any in stores here immediately after the release date though, I’ll give them a month at least >__>

P.S. too lazy to make those round corner thingies, nites~
