Class revival

August 20, 2008

About 4 weeks left to the end of the semester and now the programming class resumes with a new lecturer. Seems like the management plans to throw us into a 2 or 3 week programming crash course before this semester ends. Yay! =__=

And since our art showcase has been postponed into the first week of the next semester, the meeting for it that we have on every afternoon of Wednesdays had also dropped in priority so we won’t be having weekly meetings as frequently starting from next week onwards. We didn’t really do anything much during the meeting today anyway aside from just hanging out in the meeting room, eating delicious cake.

Then the later parts were my advertising class, which I was supposed to show our progress on the final assignment, which I have forgotten about. So instead of showing my actual work, I resorted to explaining my ideas verbally… again. I must say, for some ideas I thought out on the spot they were kind of good, even got praised for it by my lecturer lol. Yay~

If this goes on…

August 18, 2008

It’s Monday… had to show my project progress in class today. I do have my ideas laid out but not really worked on. I tried to rush on a sample in class to show it though but I failed hard, so instead I just explained it verbally.

Back home, I just watched lots of anime, with not much gaming. I have to do something about this lifestyle soon or I’ll be in for lots of trouble by the end of this semester =__=

Oh and suddenly my family has to go back to Ipoh again this coming weekend. Well, I don’t have to go but since everyone else is, it’s just proper manners for me to follow as well. But I have lots of work left to do >__> I’m thinking about borrowing someone’s laptop and just work on that while I’m in Ipoh :/ I do have someone in mind that might not mind me borrowing her laptop. All I have to do is ask~ yep, thaaat’s all I have to do~

Oh well…

I planned to! I really did!

August 15, 2008

…to do my assignments today. I did went as far as asking for reference materials from my classmate but when she said I had to wait till night before she would send it to me, I got into ‘lazy mode’ and spent most of the time between then till night doing nothing.

Well actually, I don’t think I really did nothing. I just can’t recall what I have been spending my afternoon and early evening on. Since it’s something that I could actually forget about a few hours later, it can’t be too important… which is not good since I do have important things to do… like my assignments… Err, anyway, by the time I got the reference material from my classmate a few hours ago, I had already lost all of my will to begin working on it.

Instead, I recalled that I have some homework that I have to hand up by tomorrow’s Japanese class, which I have also not done yet. I did that instead; was just done with it a moment ago. I guess one would usually do things involving stuff they like more easily and quickly compared to things that they don’t.

Procrastination

August 10, 2008

I was supposed to be writing a report or working on my final project during the last 6 days. I did neither. Both of them dues by the end of this month. The deadline is drawing ever so nearer and yet there are still no progress on them at all.

Now that I think about it, it’s the same thing over and over again every semester; I get an assignment, I procrastinate, I rant about my procrastination while I procrastinate, and I somehow magically manage to pull it off at the end. Well, I shouldn’t really be thinking about it that way right now or I might just end up leaving my project up to magic… which is dumb and a sure-fire way to fail.

I hope I’ll do something relevant to my project tomorrow morning before leaving for college… distractions are aplenty so I don’t know how likely that will happen though.

P.S. Perrine is hot!

Anti-photogenic

July 17, 2008

The way today went by were identical to that of yesterday where I left home at 9:30am and got home at around 5pm. Difference is that today is where our photos will be taken rather than videos (but there is a guy/girl/somebody with a camera lurking around random corners from time to time anyway so I guess technically a video is still being taken).

It has been years since I had any of my photos taken without me demonstrating resistance. Everything is fine as long as the photos stay where they were meant to be I guess.

Things were a lot more arranged and well executed today. Things were done pretty quickly because of that but we were still delayed in a few instances where we had to wait for one or a few person who were late from wherever they went.

Anyway, things went fine. Those who are in-charge of publicity have to attend another meeting on Wednesday next week to present their respective progress on their respective responsibilities regarding the showcase. I am one of those in-charge or publicity btw orz

Fakering

July 15, 2008

Went to college and acted in a trailer thing. It’s for our final showcase that we will be holding at the end of this semester.

It’s my first time in some recorded acting so… err… yeah… got to be thankful that they were using digital video cameras rather than film cameras. It was also one of the more messy production process; no written scripts and every action had to be impromptu. That part kind of got to me since I was given two separate descriptions of how my character was supposed to be… contradicting ones.

Anyway, we eventually got it done after spending the entire day there. The production left quite some casualties at its wake too like for example one of my friend’s neck, that same friend’s car’s front bumper, one of the production crew’s friend’s car’s self-retracting side mirror, and my face (nothing serious, srsly, but still noteworthy).

Tomorrow’s the photo shooting sessions omg.

Realization

June 30, 2008

Today we drew a Gantt chart to get a better idea of how we could allocate the various works necessary to complete our final project… and from that chart I realized that I have wasted a good half of all the time I had making no progress.

If one thinks about it, what I am planning to do for my final project aren’t really that hard to pull off. And imo, I think I could even finish it in under a week if I really put all my effort into it and ignore all the formal procedures and paperworks. However, even though I think so, I could also bet somewhere in between I might run into some retarded blocks or problems when I really proceed and work on it.

It always had been like that; I think up of a plan, I find it easily executable by theory in my mind, but the thing gets troublesome all of a sudden when in practical. Anyway, started doing all the necessary writings for the report.

I have the blue print of the entire thing all thought up now… its just the problem of materializing it.
